Rosie O’Donnell Venting About Trump, ‘Fixed’ Elections, Using Medication for Sleep

In a recent video on TikTok, Rosie O’Donnell expressed her frustrations about President Donald Trump, accusing him of election fraud and implying that he relies on drugs to help him sleep.

O’Donnell has made various claims about Trump being cheated in the 2024 election, suggesting that activists ought to take action against federal immigration agents, and she even alleged that Trump is violating the US Constitution.

“Things are really chaotic in the US,” she stated with a sense of monotony. “It’s been like this for at least 100 days now.”

She subsequently launched into a puzzling take on Trump’s electoral claims. “If he keeps saying the election was rigged… why is he allowed to keep saying that?”

It’s worth noting that O’Donnell seems to misunderstand Trump’s remarks about “rigged elections,” which primarily address his defeat in 2020. Here, she appears to deny the validity of the 2024 election, claiming it was manipulated against Kamala Harris.

She continued to assert that Trump has dementia, arguing that he does not adequately fulfill his role against Joe Biden.

“He keeps insisting this because he must somehow convince himself of what he’s done, as he usually does,” she remarked.

Later, she admitted that her mental health was suffering and that she felt compelled to leave the US, consumed by her disdain for Trump. “I realized that if I stayed, I would be in pain all over again,” she expressed. “The atmosphere was just too heavy.”

She also mentioned how Trump was involved in discussions about acquiring new aircraft for the Air Force, alluding to a donation offer from Qatar due to delays with Boeing.

O’Donnell’s remarks reflected her misunderstanding regarding legal agreements, asserting that if Trump violated some laws, there should be consequences. “If he breaks the rules, then what do we have laws for?” she questioned, incorrectly referencing the emoluments clause.

She went on to express her confusion about immigration officers, keen to know their identities. “It’s just so overwhelming. Who are these ICE agents?” she lamented.

Stressing her feelings of detachment, she commented that it’s baffling how some Americans justify the actions of ICE agents, saying, “If they could see how people view them, wouldn’t that make them reconsider?”

O’Donnell shared that she stopped using marijuana, noting its illegality in Ireland, but admitted to struggling with sleep. “I’ve really had a tough time sleeping,” she confessed.

Reflecting on her choice to leave before Trump’s inauguration, she mentioned her relief about avoiding the spectacle of that event, remarking on how relieved she feels.

In a conversation with a mental health professional, she revealed that the medication she is using, Trazodone, is actually an antidepressant, not a sleep aid. “It’s more for depression, at least from what I understand,” she acknowledged.

She also disclosed her use of Munjaro to manage her diabetes and expressed her frustrations about not receiving Xanax for sleep.

Ultimately, she seems to be grappling with her own mental health challenges and the state of the world around her.
