Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert: Israel’s actions in Gaza “very close to war crimes”
Ehud Olmert, who served as Israel’s Prime Minister from 2006 to 2009, recently stated in a BBC interview that the actions currently being undertaken by Israel in Gaza are “very close to war crimes.”
Olmert criticized the government led by Benjamin Netanyahu, describing their approach as engaging in a “target-less war” that lacks any viable chances of saving hostages. He expressed concern over the high number of Palestinian casualties, calling this situation “offensive and outrageous.”
Moreover, he argued that the Israeli government needs to clarify its stance, emphasizing that they are “fighting Hamas killers, not innocent civilians.”
