Authorities are looking into a video that shows a prisoner from New Orleans, who claims to be Antoine Massey, 31, reaching out for help from prominent figures like President Trump, Kim Kardashian, and rappers Meek Mill and Lil Wayne, among others. This incident follows a reported escape of ten inmates from the Orleans Judicial Center.
On May 16, Massey posted multiple videos on social media, saying, “the system has failed not only me but many people.” He has a record of fleeing law enforcement, with prior charges for domestic abuse and car theft. In one video, he displayed what he called proof of his innocence.
“I’m talking to people who have been through a corrupt system. Lil Wayne, Donald Trump, I’m asking for your help. Can you understand?” he said in one clip. “Please, don’t abandon me for something I didn’t do.”
Orleans Parish Sheriff Susan Hutson confirmed that law enforcement is aware of the video but hasn’t verified if the individual in it is indeed Massey. “If this is Antoine Massey, we urge him to turn himself in to the proper authorities,” Hutson expressed. “It’s in his best interest to work with law enforcement to avoid further complications.”
She emphasized the importance of proper justice and due process. The man in the video, who has a distinctive facial tattoo resembling Massey’s, asserted that he was “not untiled” and insisted he didn’t escape; rather, he was released. “They say I broke out. I didn’t break out. I was let go,” he stated.
In the wake of the escape, several individuals have been arrested for allegedly aiding the prisoners. One of the suspects, a woman named Diamond White, is believed to have assisted Massey post-escape and hindered the investigation. Additionally, Sterling Williams, a 33-year-old maintenance worker at the prison, was arrested last month for allegedly turning off the water from the cell where inmates escaped through a hole behind toilet equipment.
