Alligator Alcatraz Detaining Criminal Immigrants with Criminal Records Including Killing an Elderly Woman

Alligator Alcatraz Houses Dangerous Criminal Immigrants, According to Florida Attorney General

Florida’s Attorney General has stated that Alligator Alcatraz is used to detain some of the most dangerous criminal immigrants, countering narratives from the political left.

This month, officials indicated that detention facilities in the Florida Everglades will be housing particularly violent criminal immigrants. Nationwide operations led by immigration and customs enforcement (ICE) have apprehended illegal immigrants with serious convictions, including murder, child abuse, sexual assault involving minors, vehicle theft, and the production and distribution of child pornography.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has highlighted a case of a violent criminal arrested by ICE in Florida. They noted that “these are the kinds of violent and illegal immigrants who could end up at Alligator Alcatraz.”

Fox News managed to acquire a list of detainees at this facility, retrieved from the office of Florida Attorney General James Usemeyer.

One notable detainee is Oscar “Satan” Sanchez, a member of MS-13 with a criminal history that includes assault and conspiracy to commit murder in New York.

Another detainee, Luis Danube Colado from Guatemala, has offenses that include unlawful entry and wiretapping.

Cuban immigrant Eddie Lopez Gemott has been charged with crimes such as arson and an assault involving an elderly woman, during which he threatened her life.

Wilfredo Alberto Razama Garcia is another individual identified by Usemeyer’s office; he is wanted for murder and aggravated robbery in Venezuela and has charges for conspiracy to defraud in the U.S.

The DHS list also mentions Lazaro Rodriguez Santana, a Cuban with a sexual assault conviction in Texas who cannot register as a sex offender.

Lastly, Jose Fortin from Honduras has a documented history of two murders in Miami-Dade.

Jeremy Redfern, communications director for Usemeyer, commented on the media portrayal of these individuals, stating, “The left-wing press continues to amplify false reports, but the reality is that there are truly dangerous individuals at Alligator Alcatraz awaiting deportation, far worse than the myths depicted.” He went on to describe this group of criminals as just a portion of the threats Florida is helping to eliminate under President Trump’s administration.
