A California man apologized Friday for his relationship with a 15-year-old girl who shot and killed a teacher and student at a Wisconsin religious school, telling a judge he had no choice but to accept the consequences of his actions without explaining his exact role. He said he was ready to accept.
Alexander Paffendorf expressed regret for his involvement as the judge gave him a chance to make final words before suspending the order for the confiscation of the gun and ammunition until April 4.
He did not provide details in his brief statement, but authorities said he sent messages to FBI agents about the attack on a government building with guns and explosives to Wisconsin shooter Natalie Rapnow. He announced that he had sent it.
After a student at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison killed 14-year-old freshman Rubi Patricia Vergara and 42-year-old teacher Erin Michelle West and seriously injured two other students. , he also shot himself.
Police have not released a motive.
The day after the Dec. 16 attack, a California judge issued a restraining order against Paffendorf, then 20, under the state's firearms red flag law. To do so, he needed to deliver the gun and ammunition to the police.

The judge ruled that it was in Pattendorf's interest to delay the hearing because he was under investigation and did not have an attorney.
