A TikTok video has gained significant attention, featuring a daughter chastising her mother for supporting Donald Trump. However, Blaze Media co-founder Glenn Beck believes the issue extends beyond just political views.
In the video, the daughter expresses her frustration, saying, “You made a wrong decision. If you apologize to me for taking away my rights and the rights of everyone like me, then we would be fine.” She accuses her mother of contributing to broader societal issues, insisting, “You and your people did this to my country.”
The mother responds by pointing out that the daughter seems to think it’s her way or no way at all, emphasizing that it’s not just about her beliefs. The daughter counters, denouncing racism and bringing up that Trump faced lawsuits for refusing service to black individuals, labeling her mother as “racist” and “hateful.”
Glenn suggests that if there isn’t a male figure in the home, it’s essential to establish boundaries, stressing the importance of respect. He reflects on a lost cultural identity, noting, “We’ve completely forgotten who we are. We’ve lost our story as a nation; we’ve lost our story as a people.”
He believes that many people struggle with self-identity, leading to a reliance on politics for purpose. “We’re not here for politics,” Glenn asserts, suggesting that the real struggle is about the individual versus the collective, touching on deeper existential themes.
