Iran launches 100 missiles at Israel in response, with only a few overcoming the defense system.

On Friday, Iran launched a significant missile attack against Israel, marking a notable escalation in hostilities. Israeli defense systems are actively engaged, with emergency orders pushing civilians to seek shelter immediately and stay there until further notice.

The Israeli Defense Force has advised citizens to remain in their protected spaces unless officially instructed otherwise.

Following an Israeli strike, Iran asserted its claims regarding its nuclear capabilities but has not engaged in discussions with international parties.

Reports suggest that Iran fired around 100 ballistic missiles, with five to seven managing to breach Israel’s missile defense systems, according to local sources.

Fox News Chief Foreign Correspondent Trey Inst, reporting live, experienced the chaos as missiles targeted Tel Aviv. He remarked that he had never witnessed anything of this magnitude in his seven years covering the region.

I mean, it’s unusual and alarming to see such a direct declaration of war, especially when it aligns with the death of a significant military figure in Iran.

Inst and his team had to take cover as explosions rattled the vicinity, underscoring the gravity of the situation.

This attack surfaced after Israeli Defense Forces conducted operations in Iran, following several months of stalled nuclear negotiations.

At least five individuals have been hospitalized due to injuries, one sustaining moderate wounds while four others faced minor injuries related to gunfire. Additionally, several people received treatment for anxiety in the aftermath.

A senior U.S. official acknowledged that the U.S. is aiding Israel in intercepting the incoming Iranian missiles. They noted that numerous American citizens and resources are focused on supporting Israel’s defenses.

I find it quite striking that Iran is now advocating for ongoing retaliation against Israeli actions, per their state media.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the Iranian people, emphasizing that the Islamic regime, which he criticized for decades of oppression, is posing a threat to Israel’s existence. He asserted that Israel’s military operations aim to neutralize nuclear and missile threats, framing it as a step towards supporting freedom for the Iranian populace.
