Iran Must Halt Missile Attacks or Face Serious Consequences, Israeli Defense Minister Warns

Israeli Defense Minister’s Stark Warning to Iran

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a strong warning on Saturday, stating that “Tehran will be on fire” if Iran persists in its missile attacks against Israel.

This statement came during an assessment meeting with top Israeli officials, where Katz expressed concerns over Iranian actions targeting Israeli civilians. “The Iranian regime is essentially holding its own citizens hostage, making Tehran residents pay a heavy price for these misguided attacks on Israeli citizens,” he remarked during his discussion with senior military leaders, as noted in a post on Saturday on X.

Following the meeting, Katz elaborated to the Israeli Army Chief of Staff, cautioning that as long as Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei continues to launch missiles towards Israeli territory, “Tehran will burn.”

This warning follows a series of missile launches aimed at Israel after Iran retaliated against Israeli actions on Friday, causing explosions to resonate across several cities. Reports indicate that Iranian missile strikes have resulted in at least three fatalities and around 70 injuries, predominantly in and near Tel Aviv, along with injuries to seven soldiers due to a missile hitting central Israel.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also expressed the urgency of the situation on Friday, emphasizing that his government aims to prevent Israel’s destruction and halt Iran from developing any capabilities to achieve that. “We cannot allow them to construct a stockpile of 20,000 missiles, so we’re actively working to dismantle their capacity,” Netanyahu stated, reaffirming the Israeli Defense Forces’ ongoing efforts.
