Murdaugh ‘Egg Juror’ seen leaving courtroom with bag of dozen eggs in exclusive 2023 photo

In exclusive photos obtained by Fox News Digital, the juror who was dismissed from the Alex Murdaugh murder trial and has become known as the “egg juror” can be seen leaving the courtroom after being dismissed carrying a plastic grocery bag full of the groceries that gave her her nickname.

Fox News Digital published the photo after the “egg juror,” whose real name is Myra Crosby, publicly voiced her views for the first time to Fox News' Martha MacCallum in an exclusive interview published on Fox Nation on Tuesday.

Crosby became a talking point the moment Judge Clifton Newman dismissed her from the case in court, earning her the nickname “the egg juror.” Crosby drew laughter from the courtroom when she asked if she could pick up 12 eggs and her purse before leaving the courtroom. She explained that another juror had brought eggs to hand out and she didn't want to leave them behind.

“You have to remember that I had just moved to an area where groceries were crazy expensive at the time and a dozen eggs were $8, and I wanted farm fresh eggs. Sorry, I'm a country girl and I love eggs,” she said.

In an interview with Fox Nation, Crosby said she believes the judge made a mistake by removing her from the double murder case. She claims that court clerk Becky Hill targeted her for removal from the jury because she wasn't convinced of Murdaugh's guilt.

Alex Murdaugh may get a new trial in South Carolina after the Supreme Court agreed to hear the jury tampering case.

Murdaugh, 56, was convicted in 2023 of murdering his wife and son on a family hunting ground in 2021 in an attempt to buy time and sympathy while trying to distract from and cover up a growing number of financial crimes. He is serving two life sentences for the murders.
