Delivery Driver Fired for Anti-Trump Comments

A DoorDash driver recently expressed frustration on social media after being terminated for posting a video threatening to discard orders from supporters of President Donald Trump.

An account called “LibsofTikTok” shared the video where the driver made this threat, along with another clip detailing his “deactivation” from DoorDash on Monday evening. In an earlier TikTok post from March 13, the user, known as “esoteric_eriik,” indicated he would cancel orders if he spotted a “MAGA sign” in a customer’s yard.

In a brief, 15-second video, he stated, “Hey Trump supporters, this is your local friendly Door Dasher. If I see a MAGA sign in front of your house, I’m going to take great care to throw it out the window when I deliver your order. Seriously, just… forget about it!”

In a follow-up video released over the weekend, the driver claimed that he had fallen victim to backlash on social media, stating, “I think I went viral on alt-right Twitter, and they actually got me deactivated from DoorDash. If you’re not a MAGA supporter on DoorDash, maybe reconsider because they really support that side.” This video stretched on for about 59 seconds.

DoorDash has yet to reply to requests for comment regarding the incident.

Interestingly, he’s not the sole individual to lose a job over controversial comments made online. In a separate case, Cathy DiFilippo Kiley, a payroll administrator for a school board in Canada, was let go after expressing hopes for Trump’s assassination. Similarly, Jeremy P. Williams, a principal in Oregon, faced consequences before his arrest related to child pornography charges, after making remarks about the possible assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.

Notables such as MSNBC analyst Matthew Dowd and Washington Post columnist Karen Attia also faced job losses for remarks related to Kirk’s assassination across social media platforms.
