Hillary Clinton Swoons over ‘Wise and Decent’ Biden Ahead of Trump Debate

Twice-losing presidential candidate Hillary Clinton openly praised President Joe Biden in an op-ed on Tuesday ahead of the first 2024 presidential debate.

Her gushing piece In The New York Times While lavishing praise and flattery on “decent” Biden, he dismissed Trump as a “vengeful convicted felon.”

After opening her essay by talking about herself and her experiences on the debate stage, Clinton quickly launched into criticism of Trump, describing him as less suited to high office than his octogenarian opponent.

She said there was no point even confronting Trump directly, writing, “Trying to refute Trump’s arguments like in a normal debate is a waste of time. It’s nearly impossible to even discern what his arguments are. He starts with nonsense and then goes off on a tangent.”

Clinton then declared that Trump’s prospects were below zero and that “expectations for him are so low that unless he literally sets himself on fire on Thursday night, some will say he’s exactly the man fit to be president.”

The former secretary of state said Trump “disturbs and intimidates” and even accused him of “stalking” opponents like her onstage because he “want[s]to gain the upper hand and confuse[him].”

Clinton, on the other hand, sees Biden as a wise man who, although sometimes misunderstood by voters, somehow always manages to conjure victory from the brink of defeat.

Clinton argued that Biden is “one of the most empathetic leaders we have ever had. Listen to the sincerity with which he speaks about women’s rights, the struggles of working families, opportunity for people of color, and the courage of the men and women of Ukraine who risk their lives for our democracy.”

In her editorial, she argued:

Biden is a smart, decent man who fights hard for working families. Yes, he’s 81 years old — three years older than Trump. And his lifetime of service and experience has helped him get things done that make our country stronger and make all of us better, from bringing together Democrats and Republicans to repair crumbling roads and bridges to standing up to Russian aggression.

This election is between a convicted felon out for revenge and a president who gets results for the American people. No matter what happens in the debates, it’s an easy choice.

This is not the first time Clinton has publicly endorsed Biden.

As reported by Breitbart News, she said last month on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that any self-respecting woman should respect the electoral process and vote for Biden instead of his opponent.

This comes despite previous efforts by both she and Biden to completely discredit Trump voters as deserving of contempt.

“Every generation has to be vigilant and diligent. Not every generation has to fight, but this generation has to fight. And we all will fight to get our rights back and to protect our rights. Unfortunately, and very tragic, but not unexpected, there are people who want to turn back time for women. It’s not just happening in this country, it’s happening elsewhere. Essentially, they want more control over women, more control over women’s choices, over women’s lives, over the opportunities that women pursue,” Clinton said.

“So any woman who values self-respect, autonomy, agency, independence and freedom needs to understand that there is only one choice in this election, and that is Joe Biden.”

Thursday’s debate will be hosted by CNN in Atlanta and will be moderated by the network’s Dana Bash and Jake Tapper.

It starts at 9pm and lasts for 90 minutes, during which there will be no spectators.

The second debate will be hosted by ABC on September 10th.
