“Today I am announcing a new plan to eliminate every sanctuary city in North Carolina and across the country,” Trump said at a rally in North Carolina.
“I will ask Congress to pass legislation outlawing sanctuary cities across the nation and will comprehensively curtail federal powers against jurisdictions that refuse to cooperate,” Trump continued. “As soon as I take office, I will send federal law enforcement to every city that does not extradite criminal aliens (and there are many) to track down and arrest every gang member, drug dealer, rapist and criminal immigrant who is illegally harboring them.”

Saturday's rally was Trump's first outdoor rally since the second assassination attempt.NumberRyan Routh hid in bushes outside Trump's Florida golf course for nearly 12 hours. He was armed with a rifle.

During the rally, Trump also spoke about why he would not agree to another debate with his rival, Vice President Kamala Harris, whose campaign has repeatedly indicated she would like a second debate.
“The problem with the next debate is it's too late. The voting has already begun,” Trump said. “It's like a fighter. She looks at the polls, she looks at what's going on, she's losing badly, and she's like a fighter who steps in the ring and gets knocked out. The first thing he says is he wants a rematch,” Trump added. A.B.C. He took part in a presidential debate earlier this month.
