Texas man fights armed would-be robber, who cops say shoots victim. But wounded man still disarms attacker; arrest made.

The Texas man fought an armed thug trying to steal him early Saturday morning in Corpus Christi. Police said the attacker shot the man. However, the injured victims were still able to disarm the gunmen, police said, adding they had arrested them.

Corpus Christi Police I said Officers were dispatched to the 5400 block of South Staples Street via aggravated robbery. According to KRIS-TVthe incident took place in the parking lot of a Gemini nightclub.

“These children need Jesus in their lives.”

Arriving officers found the adult male victim in the parking lot with apparent gunshot wounds, police added that he was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers learned that the victim had been assaulted in the parking lot after he ended the establishment, police said. The offender was trying to take property from the victim, but a physical altercation continued, police said.

The criminal shot the victim, police added that the victim was able to disarm the criminal who fled the scene before authorities arrived at the scene.

Police said the violent crime squad identified 22-year-old Aaron Armenderes, who followed him and arrested him. Armendarez was taken to the city's detention center where he was charged with aggravated robbery, police said.
