The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement said that their mother and son, who live in the United States, both have criminal history in a backlash against arrests in California last month.
Yolanda Perez's family and her son, Jonathan Tejeda Perez, said they were arrested on February 24th near El Monte's suburban Los Angeles home. The family claimed that the ice agent had a warrant but said they had never shown it to them. Fox Los Angeles It has been reported.
Jolana Perez's daughter, Xitali Tejeda, told the news outlet that her mother was ambushed while running the car for a cleaning car in the city streets as her brother tried to intervene. Yolanda Pedles was seen in a video of Ice Agent crying, saying, “They're going to take me with you.”

The family said the mother had no criminal history and the 21 daughter's primary caregivers were unable to walk and were battling cancer.
The community gathered around the family. Rep. Gil Cisneros of D-Calif, who represents El Monte, criticized the arrest.
“These arrests are offensive and I am seriously concerned that these arrests were reported to have been made by ice,” Cisneros said in a statement. “The 31st District is home to many migrant families who have come to our country who want to contribute to our region and the local economy.”
“This El Monte family was working to look after her youngest daughter and provide the health care treatment she needed. Fearfulness, targeting community members and tearing them apart is not an acceptable solution for the broken immigration system,” he added. “We need humanitarian and comprehensive immigration reforms that deal with bad actors, but they still support American values and help us take the immigrants living in our country out of the shadows. My office will continue to monitor this situation.”

An ICE spokesman told Fox News Digital that Yolanda Perez illegally entered the United States on an unknown day. She was arrested in July 2005 by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office for theft.
Ice also said Jonathan Tejeda Perez, who had illegally entered the United States at one point, had made multiple arrests. He was arrested by the Sheriff's Department for possessing a controlled substance, possessing illegal equipment, driving without a license in 2014, possessing a controlled substance, possessing illegal equipment, and driving without a license in 2015, Ice said.
Tejeda Perez was also arrested in 2017 by the Arcadia Police Station for possession of a controlled substance, the Los Angeles Police Station for theft of Los Angeles property, and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service in Los Angeles for theft or receipt of stolen mail.
