Washington State U. punishes instructor, staffer charged with beating up Trump-supporting student of color wearing MAGA hat

Washington State University said it released its responsible graduate instructor who teaches responsibility after being accused of physically attacking an undergraduate student of color who wore a great American hat when attacked.

According to a video report from Turning Point USA FrontlineWSU Junior Engineering student Jay Sani said WSU instructor Patrick Mahoney and staff member Gerald Hoff physically attacked him outside the campus bar’s coogue on February 28th. here.

In a Facebook post describing the attack, Sani said Mahoney “crumpled” Maga Hat and “threw it into the street.”

Phil Weiler, Vice President of Marketing and Communications at WSU, sent the following statement to Blaze News on Friday:

Washington State University (WSU) is aware of an off-campus incident that occurred in February involving WSU staff, graduate students and undergraduate students. He was arrested and charged with a fourth-degree attack after an investigation by Washington State Police Department Pullman, WSU staff and graduate students. In accordance with WSU policy, staff employment has ended and graduate students are released from all educational responsibility.

WSU remains committed to the freedom of speech and expression of all members of our university community, but does not tolerate speeches of violence or hatred. The university continues to consider all complaints as seriously as possible.

Sani was wearing a red make America and an American great hat at the time of the attack, and Mahony said, “tearing the hat out of my head.” Sani in a Facebook post explaining the attack I said Mahony “crumpled” his Maga hat, “threw it into the street and cried out… yelling words of the effect of “Go Get It Bitch.” ”

Mahony also told the police, “I grabbed his hat, threw it, and said, ‘Get it out.’ ” Hoff admitted to police that “we grabbed him and took him to the ground.”

According to a video report from Frontlines, Mahoney is a graduate student and instructor at WSU who teaches freshman-level political science classes and is “a notorious distant activist who hates conservative values ​​and regularly lives in pro-Hamas protests in the city.”

Mahony is also “a person who has strong ties with American democratic socialists, progressive proraball groups and publicly promotes his praise for the Communist Party,” the video report adds, citing Sani. A frontline reporter knocked on Mahoney’s door and asked if he wanted to comment on the attack, but he replied from behind the closed door, “No, leave.”
