The Michigan mother, who authorities said she abandoned her three young children and lived alone in Scalor, is reportedly able to live in prison for almost five years.

“In the hospital, the kids had a hard time completing basic hygiene tasks like washing the toilet and brushing their teeth because they hadn't done it for years,” McDonald said.
